WHY I AM
Lucie MAISONNEUVE
Post-Doc
As a postdoctoral fellow, my research focuses on unraveling the heterogeneity and functional roles of myeloid cells in cancer, such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Building on my previous work during my PhD, where I investigated the immune functions of dendritic cells and macrophages under conditions of cellular stress, my current project explores how these myeloid cells contribute to the tumor microenvironment. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as spatial transcriptomics and spatial protein profiling, I aim to map the intricate molecular interactions within cancer tissues, enhancing our understanding of myeloid cell behavior in the context of cancer progression and hoping to identify novel therapeutic strategies.
