WHY I AM

Jeanne PICARD-VALLARD

PhD student

I am a graduate student of Sup'Biotech, an engineering school specializing in biotechnology. During my studies, I completed two internships: the first in Dr. Florent Ginhoux's laboratory, focusing on Horton’s disease, and the second at Sanofi, where I explored the organization of collagen in the extracellular matrix and its impact on cold tumors.

In November 2024, I rejoined Dr. Ginhoux's laboratory as part of a CIFRE PhD program in collaboration with Sanofi, focusing on lung cancer, specifically non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The aim of this PhD project is to investigate the heterogeneity and plasticity of myeloid cells within the tumor microenvironment using high-throughput spatial sequencing technologies, including Visium HD, Xenium, and MACSima. The ultimate goal is to uncover myeloid cellular programs supporting tumor proliferation, progression and invasion, providing insights that could lead to the development of new therapeutic approaches.
